Los Blancos lost yet another match this pre-season against Spurs, mainly due to their left back's poor performance.

Real Madrid's pre-season has been an absolute nightmare. The Spanish side has only been able to win one of their four games, and on top of that, some of their players seem to have no signs of improvement despite Zidane's faith in them.

One of those players is none other than Marcelo, who has seen his reputation as one of the best left backs in the world plummet due to some inconsistent performances, just as the one he put up against Tottenham.

The Brazilian fooballer gave his trolls one more reason to mock him, as he chose not to let the ball leave the pitch for a harmless throw in. Instead, Marcelo ended up "assisting" Harry Kane for the game's only goal, sparking fury from Real Madrid fans.

This is not the first time in which Marcelo has traded a throw in for a back pass that ended up badly for the Spanish giants. Fans and experts recalled a similar incident in the 2018 UEFA Super Cup, where he failed to clear a ball that ended in the back of the net.

Zinedine Zidane has been criticized for some of his decisions, which include giving Marcelo a chance to redeem himself despite his constant mistakes. Will the manager finally step up and give Ferland Mendy the chance to replace Marcelo once he recovers from a muscular injury?
