The Argentina striker's proposed move to Old Trafford has gathered pace.

Speculations surrounding Paulo Dybala's purported transfer to Manchester United has escalated rapidly with the player's agent reportedly arriving in London to discuss personal terms ahead of his imminent switch. The 24-year-old striker is expected to complete a shock move to Old Trafford as part of a swap deal that will see Romelu Lukaku head in the opposite direction.

Paulo Dybala has been a subject of transfer speculation this summer after failing to impress for Juventus last season. While he has been tipped to secure a transfer out of Turin, his purported move to Manchester United came out of the blue having been barely linked to the Premier League outfit in months past.

An attempt by the Bianconeri to hijack Inter Milan's swoop for Romelu Lukaku has seen the Argentine international being offered as part of the deal. The Nerazzurri are reluctant to meet the Red Devil's 80-million-pound valuation of the Belgian forward and with talks currently at an impasse, the Old Ladies have emerged with an offer that will see them potentially earning 20 million pounds while landing Lukaku's signature at the expense of their No.10.

According to  Sky Sports' Gianluca Di Marzio, negotiations have accelerated in the last few hours and Dybala's agent has already jetted off to England to discuss his remuneration package and the length of his contract. Should all go according to plan, the 24-year-old attacker could put pen to pen at Old Trafford in the next two to three days.

Meanwhile, Romelu Lukaku's move out of Manchester United was all but confirmed after the striker was omitted from the club's friendly game against Solskjaer's hometown club Kristiansund on Tuesday. The 26-year-old striker missed all of the Red Devils' preseason tour games in Australia, China and Singapore through injury.
