The Dragons are ready to lure not one, but two players from the same American team to boost their chances in the UEFA Champions League.

Porto was hit hard after Iker Casillas decided to retire, and now, the Portuguese club is ready for life after the historic Spanish goalkeeper by signing a talented but unexpected replacement.

According to a report by Mexican TV Station TUDN, the Dragons are ready to sign not one, but two players from Mexican side América. The blue and white side has already gotten in touch with the Mexican team's hierarchy to negotiate rights for goalkeeper Agustín Marchesín and midfielder Mateus Uribe.

TUDN's report states that negotiations for the Argentine goalie would see Porto paying Las Águilas a bit over $15M, while the fee for the Colombian footballer is yet to be revealed.

Uribe (left) was previously linked to Sporting CP, while Marchesin (middle) has been a regular in Argentina's recent call ups.

According to the report, Mateus Uribe is a direct request by Porto's coach Sergio Conceicao, and his arrival would fill the void left by Oliver Torres' departure to Sevilla. Added to his transfer, a deal involving Marchesín would end all speculation surrounding the Dragons' net, following the alleged interest in signing goalkeepers such as Keylor Navas and Gianluigi Buffon.

The Mexican team is keen on keeping both players around, but TUDN's report states that both footballers would be interested in a deal since they would be able to play UEFA Champions League matches.
