The Italian footballer will fulfill a childhood dream when he steps into La Bombonera wearing Los Xeneizes' jersey.

Daniele De Rossi may not have been able to finish his playing career with Roma, but he managed to live one of his childhood dreams.

The Italian midfielder was unveiled today as a Boca Juniors' footballer for the 2019-20 season. The former Roma footballer ended all speculation about his future with this signing, which will add interest to the Argentine league in Italy and Europe.

The Argentine giants unveiled De Rossi with an emotional video on their Twitter feed, where De Rossi shares why he decided to carry on with his career playing with the Xeneize side.

Here are some of De Rossi's quotes from that video.

"My heart belongs to Roma, but I like Boca very much since I was a kid."

"I fell in love with this team because of Maradona, because of their stadium, and because of their fans, who are very passionate."

"One of the best things in life is being able to fulfill your dreams. Thank you Boca Juniors!"

Once the Italian midfielder, a curious but classy demand was revealed by Boca Juniors' fan store.

The player reportedly made his way into the store located inside Boca Juniors' stadium and asked to have 100 jerseys printed with his number (16) and his name. The reason? He wants to go back to Italy and give those jerseys to his friends and family.

Boca Juniors' execs believe that this marketing move will do wonders for them, since De Rossi's new jersey is already the most-asked jersey in their official store.
