The Bosnian defender was spotted on camera scaring the thugs by fighting them off with his bare hands.

Arsenal's Mesut Özil and team-mate Sead Kolasinac were involved in a strange and scary incident earlier today, when a couple of knife-wielding hijackers tried to steal Özil's SUV.

Bystanders near the scene stated that Özil "ran for his life", as he tried to make his way into a Turkish restaurant. Both men tried to follow him, but according to reports, Sead Kolasinac stepped up to defend his team-mate.

The Bosnian defender risked his own life by facing the thugs with his bare hands at one point. As the incident was noted by clients and employees, both men fled from the scene.

A spokesman for Arsenal has stepped up to reveal that both players are unharmed after this incident.

Some sources report that both players were defending their wives -who were believed to be inside the vehicle-, while some others state that team-mate Alex Iwobi was also at the scene.
