Despite only managing a scoreless draw at Marseille in the first leg, Manchester United midfielder Darron Gibson has spoken about how the Red Devils tend to play better at Old Trafford
Manchester United are set to host Olympique Marseille in the 2nd leg of the UEFA Champions League second round tonight. The Devils battled out a stalemate at Marseille in the first leg and Darron Gibson insisted that tonight's game will definitely be a better one for the team in red.
"Both teams just cancelled each other on the night," Gibson told skysports.com at an event promoting EA SPORTS FIFA 11 Ultimate Team.
"There wasn't many chances to be honest, but coming back to Old Trafford it will be a different story.
"They sat back and soaked up the pressure we were putting on them and we just cancelled each other out.
"Obviously they need a result and we are at home so they have to come out going for it and we will obviously be going for it as well, but it plays into our hands because we are at Old Trafford.
"They are a good side, but I think we can beat them if we play well."
Darron Gibson, who started the first leg match in France is hoping for another unbelievable night at Old Trafford while adding that scoring a goal would always be a bonus for him.
"I would love it to be a special night at Old Trafford, but I want to get a result this time as obviously we got put out last time," added Gibson.
"I would be delighted to play again and to score would be unbelievable."
