The first pre-season friendly saw the German boss discussing the Brazilian superstar's future away from the French side.

PSG's first pre-season game left something else than just the 6-1 win for Les Parisiens, as coach Thomas Tuchel shared insight on Neymar's future with the club.

The former Borussia Dortmund tactician practically killed all hopes of watching Neymar stay with the Ligue 1 giants, since the footballer had made up his mind on where he wanted to continue playing even before the 2018-19 season concluded, according to his post-match interview with RMC Sports.

"If I knew that he wanted to leave the club? Yes. If I was aware of it before he left to play in the 2019 Copa América? Yes," Tuchel briefly stated.

Even if Les Parisiens will have to change their tactics if Neymar leaves, coach Tuchel left it up to the club to decide if they will try to keep the Brazilian ace.

"It's all clear between us. It is now an issue between the club and Neymar. We are working together. The club and Neymar have things to sort out and that's it," the German boss added.

Tuchel referred to Neymar's absence during the first week of the 2019-20 pre-season, but denied that his absence will have an effect on his future with the team...if he really wants to stay put.

"I'm always disappointed if a player is late for work. Now we have to work with all the players, and he is a part of the squad. I don't know what's going to happen, but right now, he's my player and if he's in the locker room, I will work with him," Tuchel concluded.
