The Dutch defender will put pen to paper to his new contract on Wednesday after making his way to Turin on a private plane.

At long last, Matthijs De Ligt has stepped up to confirm his move to Juventus.

The footballer did not wait to be unveiled in a press conference, and decided to share his thoughts on his multi-millionaire deal from Ajax to the bianconeri with a short statement captured by the team's Twitter feed.

De Ligt snubbed Manchester United and most notably, Barcelona, when he chose to leave Ajax after an impressive run in the UEFA Champions League and following one more Eredivisie title with the red and white side.

Juventus' Twitter feed shared De Ligt's first moments in Turin via a few pictures and the aforementioned video, which you can see by scrolling down.

The 19-year-old defender will reportedly join Juventus after the bianconeri and Ajax agreed a €75M ($84M) fee for the player's services, which is set to be confirmed in the next couple of days.

De Ligt will become Juve's seventh addition in what has become one busy summer transfer window, following the arrivals of Gianluigi Buffon, Adrien Rabiot, Aaron Ramsey, Cristian Romero, Merih Demiral and Luca Pellegrini.
