PSG set to lower asking price for Neymar

PSG set to lower asking price for Neymar as coach urges team to sell the wantaway winger

July 10, 2019 By Oscar Rojas
The French side is willing to let Neymar leave after the footballer was spotted played beach football with some friends on Tuesday.

PSG's stance regarding Neymar seems to be changing with each passing day, and the most recent information has to do with the amount of money Les Parisiens want to receive for the footballer in the event of a transfer.

A report by The Sun suggests that the French champions are no longer interested in recovering the full fee they paid to lure the player away from Camp Nou, with PSG willing to settle for quite a bit less money than initially requested for the winger.

According to The Sun's sources, PSG would go from their initial $247M asking fee to $168M, meaning that Les Parisiens are ready to lose $78M in this transfer. In fact, the report states that PSG is governed "more by pride than by calculation," in what can be taken as a sign of their willingness to send the player away.

If that was not enough reason to think Neymar is living his final days at Parc Des Princes, the same report by The Sun states that coach Thomas Tuchel has urged the team to sell the footballer, mainly because of the bad influence he is turning into for the team's young players, which include Kylian Mbappé.

And what does Neymar think about these reports? He seemed truly worried about his contractual situation at PSG, which is why he was spotted playing footvolley on a beach in Brazil.

On Monday, PSG revealed that they would sanction Neymar for not being around for the start of the team's pre-season. Later that day, the player's father revealed that Neymar had asked for permission to arrive into Paris one week later than initially expected by Les Parisiens, but the plot of this story has thickened day after day.

Reports coming in on Tuesday said that PSG's Sports Director Leonardo also allowed all negotiations to begin, and now, things seem to be ready to watch Neymar's stint at PSG coming to an end.
