The Norwegian boss addressed the future of several of his players, hinting that the number of transfers out will be lowered to a minimum.

Just when Real Madrid fans thought that Paul Pogba was getting closer to leave Old Trafford, Manchester United's boss has dealt a massive blow to their hopes.

During the Red Devils' first pre-season presser, coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer dismissed transfer rumors linking his players to other clubs. The Norwegian boss spoke about Paul Pogba, David De Gea, Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford, but he decided to focus his words on the Frenchman's future.

The former striker referred to Pogba's situation in particular, stating that he has never doubted the player's commitment to the club.

"Paul has never given me cause for concern. He's a hard-working player on the pitch, a true professional and a kid with lots of pride. So far, he has been fantastic during the training sessions," Solskjaer said.

Then, Solskjaer turned his attention to the rest of the players that have been linked to an exit. According to the Norwegian boss, there will be no high-profile transfers this summer involving their players.

"There has been lots of speculation about our players, but when you're in a club such as United, these kind of reports are usual. I've spoken to Pogba, Lukaku, Rashford, Lingard...I've spoken to all of them, and there has been no offers for any of them. Excluding Pogba, most of them have long-term deals with us. Most of all, we are Manchester United, we have no need to sell," Solskjaer said.

Last, but not least, Solskjaer referred to what fans can expect from the team during his first full season at the helm.

"We know just how disappointing last season was for everyone. We need to improve in a very competitive league, and there are trophies out there for us to win. Manchester United is ready to bounce back, and so far, our pre-season has given us reasons to believe we can improve," Solskjaer concluded.

The Red Devils are currently training in Australia, where they will play in the International Champions Cup.
