Sports Director Leonardo is not willing to hold on to the footballer is he desperately wants to leave Les Parisiens.

Monday saw shots being fired between PSG and Neymar, as if the tug of war between both parties would never cease. Today, one of PSG's main men admitted that letting Neymar leave the club is being considered by the French giants.

Speaking in an interview with Le Parisien, PSG's Sports Director Leonardo stated that the club will part ways with the footballer if the right offer comes along, something that has not happened just yet.

"Neymar can leave PSG when he comes knocking to our door with an offer that benefits everyone. Up to this date, we are not aware of any team interested in buying him and at what cost. Surely, such a negotiation will not take place in a day, that's for sure," Leonardo said.

The former footballer played for PSG back in the 1990s, but his most successful years came when he joined Milan.

These words represent a change of heart from PSG execs, who had previously stated that Neymar was not leaving the club.

Later in the interview, Leonardo confirmed a phone call between himself, Neymar, and the footballer's dad.

"I can't confirm the details of that call, but I can saw we also spoke to his entourage. Everyone's stance is pretty clear, but as of today, Neymar has a three-year contract with us and there have been no offers, so we have nothing to discuss," Leonardo added.

While the former midfielder confirmed that Neymar had commitments with his foundation, he pointed his finger at the footballer for not stating in advance when he was going to return to the team's training sessions. Then, Leonardo aimed a dig at Barcelona for trying to ease the tension rather than making a move for the winger.

They said they wanted to buy Neymar, but they blamed us for not being interested in selling. Their president went on to say that, but we have had no indication on Barcelona's intentions to sign him. In fact, I don't believe Barcelona can afford his signing,"Leonardo concluded.

Neymar is expected back in France next week, but his absence from PSG's pre-season kick-off may just be the tip of the iceberg. Only time will tell if the Brazilian ends up leaving Les Parisiens in the current transfer window.
