The Frenchman has received tons of criticism as he looks to maneuver an Old Trafford exit.

Paul Pogba's attempts to maneuver a Man United exit have not gone down well with everyone but his agent has now launched a defense of the French superstar.

It's no secret that the player yearns for an Old Trafford exit. The World Cup winner all but confirmed this last month after stating that he is ready for a new challenge after witnessing his team miss out on a Champions League spot.

And he is not short on options, with the likes of Real Madrid and Juventus reportedly keen on his services. At the Bernabeu, Pogba would work under countryman Zinedine Zidane, who is a huge admirer of the 26-year-old. At the Bianconeri, he would be back at the club where he made a name for himself, winning four consecutive Serie A titles.

His agent Mino Raiola admitted to being optimistic over a "satisfying solution" for all parties, which can be a hint that he is working hard to get Pogba his dream move. The Italian also slammed the Red Devils for not protecting the midfielder from the criticism he is facing, insisting that he has been nothing but professional amid the transfer saga.

"The player [Pogba] has done nothing wrong," Raiola said to talkSPORT.

"He has been respectful and professional in every way and always. The club has known his feeling for a long time.

"It is a shame other people only like to criticize without the right information, and I am also sorry that the club does not take any position against this.

"Hopefully there will be soon a satisfying solution for all parties."

After shattering the club-record transfer fee for the player, after all the drama between the player and former manager Jose Mourinho, Pogba could now leave the club on bad terms.

The club values him at $187M, which could prove to be a tricky fee for both Los Blancos and the Old Lady. Real Madrid spent big to bring Hazard to the Bernabeu and would have to offload a few players, namely James Rodriguez and Gareth Bale to raise funds.

The World Cup winner recently reported for pre-season duty, making the trip to Australia with Man United for the Premier League giants' tour. However, this does not mean he is destined to remain with Solskjaer's crew.
