The French midfielder made waves after aiming a slight dig at PSG during his first presser as a bianconeri player.

Adrien Rabiot has seen his ordeal at PSG come to an end. Joining Juventus seems like the right move for the French footballer, who named a variety of reasons why he was eager to become a bianconeri player.

Speaking at his unveiling ceremony, the former PSG midfielder revealed the reasons why he decided to snub teams such as Manchester United, Barcelona or Real Madrid, who were also interested in his services. In fact, he referred to Cristiano Ronaldo and former PSG team-mate Gianluigi Buffon -who could eventually team up with him again- as the main reasons to push for a move to the Italian giants.

"Sharing locker room with Cristiano Ronaldo was one of the main reasons for me to join this team," Rabiot said.

"Buffon's thoughts were also very relevant to me. He told me that if I wanted to see my career develop, then I should join Juventus for a year or two," Rabiot added.

Rabiot then referred to his tumultuous exit from PSG. While he believes he meant no harm to Les Parisiens by pushing for a better deal, he admitted that leaving his only professional club due to his differences with the board could have been avoided.

"It was a difficult period, both emotionally and on footballing terms, but I want to leave that in the past. I wanted to end that stint in my career differently, but it was not all up to me," the midfielder said.

Then, Rabiot aimed a dig at his former club by comparing it to Juventus.

"Juve is one of the most prestigious clubs in the world. They are one step ahead of PSG and that's why I chose to come here. Winning the UEFA Champions League is tricky, and I believe that Juventus has earned the necessary experience to do so soon," Rabiot concluded.
