The American sensation has secured a move away from Parc des Princes.

French Ligue 1 outfit Lille has confirmed the signing of PSG starlet Timothy Weah. The 19-year-old winger will join last season's league runners-up on a five-year deal after an agreement was reach by the two clubs.

Dubbed as one of the top talents in the world at the moment, the desire to get more playing time saw Weah seal a loan move from PSG to Celtic in the winter transfer window last season. The teenager's arrival in the Scottish League proved beneficial as he registered scored three goals in 13 appearances in the Hoops' run to winning the league title.

Following his stint in Scotland, Weah featured for USA at the FIFA U20 World Cup held in Poland. The forward contributed two goals to the campaign which came to an end at the quarter-final stage.

According to French publication L'Equipe, Lile paid Paris Saint-Germain 10 million (£9m/$11m) to seal the transfer. Addressing his reason for choosing to join the Stade Pierre Mauroy outfit amid interest from other clubs, Weah said: "For me LOSC is the best choice to progress and earn playing time.

"It's a young and ambitious team, I know that [head coach] Christophe Galtier and his staff are very professional and appreciated by the players.

"Joining LOSC is a big deal, this team had a great season last year, finishing second is a great performance, playing in the Champions League is also a dream that I will be able to achieve.

"I want to score goals in my new colors and help this club to win games and trophies."
