The Italian shot-stopper is reportedly nearing a return to the Old Lady after playing for PSG last season.

Fans wished for Cristiano Ronaldo and Gianluigi Buffon to team up at Juventus for quite some time. Today, reports in Italy suggest that their wish could be granted this summer.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Buffon shared a mutual relationship of respect, which was more than clear during their many UEFA Champions League meetings with Real Madrid and Juventus, respectively. Now, according to Sky Italia, the legendary footballers are close to team up at La Vecchia Signora this season.

The report by the Italian outlet suggests that the 41-year-old goalkeeper is close to sign a two-year deal with the bianconeri, in a new attempt to end his career on a high note. Buffon would join Juventus as the team's backup goalkeeper, with Wojciech Szczesny holding on to his No.1 spot.

Despite being linked to Porto, Parma and other Serie A teams, Buffon might be closing in on a shocking comeback to the Italian titans, where winning the UEFA Champions League will be the top priority for the former PSG goalie. Maybe this time, with Cristiano Ronaldo around, the coveted continental trophy may not get away from his hands...
