The Frenchman all but confirmed his desire to leave Old Trafford but the Red Devils are reportedly planning for his departure.

Paul Pogba has all but confirmed his intentions to leave Man United and it appears the club are making preparations for his inevitable exit.

The French superstar recently admitted that he is ready for a new challenge and with Real Madrid willing to splash the cash for the World Cup winner, a second Old Trafford exit could be imminent. Furthermore, the fact that Ander Herrera has already bid his farewell to the Red Devils means Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would be short on midfield options should their most expensive signing walk out the door.

However, according to Mundo Deportivo, the 20-time Premier League champions are ready to swoop for Barcelona duo Philippe Coutinho and Ivan Rakitic to help fill the void. Both have been linked with Camp Nou exits and the Blaugrana might consider a sale should the right bids come along.

Coutinho has not fared well in Catalonia since leaving Liverpool for Spain. Booed for the club's own fans, Barcelona has reportedly put the Brazilian up for sale and could return to the English top-flight. Rakitic, on the other hand, was an integral figure in the Catalan giants' 2018/19 season but could struggle for playing time with the arrival of Frenkie de Jong.

Of course, a lot rides on whether Pogba ends up leaving or staying. Several outlets claim Man United are ready to hold on to the midfielder as replacing a star player is never easy. The fact that Solskjaer's crew will be playing in the Europa League, not Champions League, next season would only make things all the more difficult for the Manchester heavyweights.
