The Ligue 1 club is open to parting ways with the star forward.

Ligue 1 winners Paris Saint-Germain is ready to part ways with Brazilian superstar Neymar Jr this summer. A new report indicate that the French champions will consider selling the 27-year-old forward should the right offer arrive.

Neymar has been rumored to be unsettled since his world-record transfer from the Catalans to PSG in 2017. Despite leading the latter to two Ligue 1 titles, recurrent injuries coupled with on and off-field controversies, have deterred the winger from fully realising his dream of guiding Les Parisiens to glory int the Champions League.

Nonetheless, PSG ruled out the possibility of an imminent departure for Neymar although reports suggest that the stance of the club has now changed. According to French news outlet L'Equipe on Sunday, the Ligue 1 outfit is willing to cash in on the Brazil superstar who has also made his intention of leaving clear.

La Liga giants Real Madrid and Barcelona are all said to be keeping tabs on Neymar's situation although the former is expected to complete a deal for Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann in the coming weeks. For Los Blancos, the recent arrival of Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic and Ferland Mendy means that the club would have to part ways with some of its star names in order to make room for the arrival of the Brazilian attacker.

In a relative development, Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has revealed that the club is open to let players leave ahead of the new season in its plans to grow.

"Players will have to be more responsible than before,"he told France Football.

"It must be completely different. "They will have to do more and work harder. They are not there for their own amusement. If they do not agree, the doors are open -- Ciao!

"I do not want star behaviour anymore."
