The Italian shot-stopper was released by PSG earlier this week, and he plans to keep on playing even after breaking the 40-year-old barrier.

Gianluigi Buffon wants to keep on playing, and the Italian legend has apparently found the place where he will call it quits.

Reports by La Gazzetta dello Sport reveal that the footballer is ready to play for one more season, and even if he has been linked with offers to join Barcelona or Boca Juniors, the shot-stopper is keen on returning to his home country, but he will not go back to Juventus, as many fans would like.

The aforementioned report reveals that Buffon wants to end his long and prosperous career with Serie A side Parma, the team where he made his debut. The Italian footballer has already begun negotiating terms with I Gialloblu. While negotiations are just starting, the chance to see Buffon hang his gloves where it all began seems to be as real as it gets.

Buffon made his debut with Parma back in 1995. He spent six seasons with the club, where he won a Coppa Italia and a UEFA Cup (now Europa League) title. After the 2000-2001 season, "Gigi" joined Juventus, where he won it all, except the UEFA Champions League title.

The move would be a nice way to see a massive career come to an end, but only time will tell if all parties can agree terms to see the goalkeeper's wish come true.
