Premier League side Manchester United has reportedly "made contact" to sign Leicester City's James Maddison. The 22-year-old attacking midfielder has been identified as one among a host of English talents the Red Devils seek to recruit in accordance to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's new transfer policy for the club.
Upon being awarded the managerial role at the Old Trafford club on a permanent basis, the 47-year-old Norwegian coach expressed his desire to bring on board 'hungry and talented' British players to spearhead his side's renaissance. As a result, the likes of Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho, Swansea City's Daniel James and Newcastle United's Sean Longstaff have all been linked with move to the Manchester club.
As per the Daily Record, Leicester City's James Maddison has successfully found his way onto the Red Devils' list of potential signings. Having joined the Foxes at the beginning of the 2018/2019 season, the 22-year-old midfielder has justified his £22 million transfer from Norwich with a series of impressive performances, scoring and assisting seven goals apiece in 36 Premier League outings. With his value shooting up as a result, Leicester City has reportedly slapped a 60 million price tag on the attacker.
Meanwhile, Manchester United is also believed to have submitted a mammoth offer to secure the service of PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot. The French midfielder is expected to leave the Parisians this summer and is said to be on the radar of both the Red Devils and Everton.
Rabiot's teammate Thomas Meunier is also being monitored by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer side who are keen on finding a replacement for the departed Antonio Valencia at the right-back position.
