The top 10 goals of this European season have been revealed, with the top spots going Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

With the Champions League season having wrapped up on Saturday, the top 10 goals of the 2018/19 season have now been revealed by UEFA. Liverpool was crowned the champions of Europe, but this accolade did not go to any of their players.

Instead, it was none other than Cristiano Ronaldo who was deemed to have scored the most beautiful goal in the competition this season. The Portuguese icon came up short in his debut with Juventus, crashing out in the quarter-finals, but that did not stop his group-stage effort against Man United from leaving UEFA's technical observers; consisting of the likes of Moyes, Raul, Southgate, and Roberto Martinez; in awe.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner scored a lovely volley from an exquisite pass from Leonardo Bonucci, burying it past De Gea when his formed club visited Turin. Unfortunately, the Old Lady ended up losing that tie 2-1.

That goal from the 34-year-old beat out Messi's unforgettable goal against Liverpool in the semi-final. The Argentine legend netted a pin-pointed free-kick from 35 yards out which curled past the helpless Alisson. Unfortunately, La Pulga would go on to suffer heartbreak in the second leg as his team crashed out on a 4-3 aggregate defeat.

Sadio Mane and Ivan Rakitic followed for their goals against Bayern Munich and Tottenham respectively. Leroy Sane completed the top five with his free-kick goal against Hoffenheim. Check out the complete top 10 list below.
