The former Chelsea boss will coach the nerazzurri for the next three seasons, following Luciano Spalletti's sacking on Thursday.

Antonio Conte has finally been appointed as Inter Milan's boss. The former Chelsea boss will try to put an end to Juventus' domestic dominance with the nerazzurri, following his brief stint that ended in sour terms with both the Blues' bosses and the club's supporters.

Details of the contract emerged as soon as the coach was unveiled by Inter's hierarchy. Conte will embark on his new job for the next three years, and reports by La Gazzetta dello Sport reveal that Conte is set to earn over $12M per season.

Here's how Inter unveiled their new coach on social media.

Conte's first words may fill Inter fans with hope, since it's been quite a long time since they won a trophy for the last time.

"Through my work, I'll try to repay all of the trust that the President and directors have placed in me. I have chosen Inter because of the Club it is, because of the project's sound basis and how ambitious it is. Because of Inter's history. I was struck by the Club's transparency and the desire to bring Inter back to where it belongs," Conte told the team's website.

Unfortunately for some players, Conte's arrival will not mean good news. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, one of the conditions Conte named while negotiating his deal was to have Mauro Icardi transferred. The Argentine forward came close to an exit during the winter transfer window, and he refused to train after he was stripped from the captain's armband. Apparently, Conte does not want to deal with the controversial player and his wife/agent Wanda Nara, and the club will most likely pave the way for his transfer.

Conte has not been shy on this topic while speaking about Icardi and his possible replacement. In a short statement to the BBC, Conte referred to Romelu Lukaku as a transfer target and admitted that Icardi's transfer could be part of his overhaul.

"We have a plan, and we will choose what's best for Inter," Conte stated.
