The Red Devils are preparing for life after their Spanish goalie.

Manchester United has reportedly shortlisted AC Milan's Gianluigi Donnarumma and Ajax's Andre Onana to potentially replace David De Gea. The Red Devils' has been linked with a move away this summer as he enters the final year of his contract at Old Trafford. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side risks losing the 28-year-old shot-stopper on the free next summer with talks to renew his contract breaking down.

The Spanish goalkeeper and the Premiership outfit are currently in a stand-off because the latter is reluctant to meet his huge wage demands. Although Manchester United is yet to concede defeat in the battle to keep De Gea at the club, it is reportedly keeping tabs on both Donnaruma and Onana.

Per Italian news outlet Tuttomercato, the former is angling towards a move away this summer following the disappointment of AC Milan missing out on Champions League football for next season. With the Italian club set to miss out on the huge revenue that comes with playing in the European competition, it is willing to let its star shot-stopper and a few others to leave in order to lighten the weight on the wages structure.

Meanwhile, Ajax is also believed to be preparing for life without Andre Onana and have already identified Lille's Mike Maignan to replace the Cameroonian goalkeeper who could leave in the coming months. According to the Daily Record's Duncan Castles, the Amsterdam club has already rejected a recent bid from Manchester United to sign their 23-year-old goalkeeper.
