Watch: Furious Sarri storms out of Chelsea training as Luiz and Higuain clash

May 28, 2019 By Emmanuel K. Budu-Annor
With barely 24 hours to the Blues biggest game of the season, tempers are flying in their final training session.

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri stormed out of his side's last training session ahead of Wednesday's Europa League Final following a row between Gonzalo Higuain and David Luiz. The Italian manager has been tipped to exit the London club this summer and the upcoming encounter with rivals Arsenal could well be his final game.

However, preparations to secure a silverware ahead of an impending departure are apparently not going according to the scripts following the latest development. The ex-Napoli coach was seen leaving the session in rage after Higuain and Luiz were involved in a prolonged dispute.

The Argentine striker was angered by the former after lunging at him with a late tackle. While both individuals argued over the incident, skipper Ceaser Azpilicueta was called into action to try and intervene. Yet, that was not enough to prevent Sarri from getting infuriated, throwing his cap to the ground and kicking it.

Meanwhile, Sarri's claim in the press conference that Kante is currently "50-50" to play with a knee problem now appears void. The Frenchman exited Tuesday's training session before it was over and was seen in deep conversation with Chelsea's physios just before departing.
