The English striker has been out of the pitch for the past five weeks after picking up a nasty ankle injury against Manchester City.

Tottenham Hotspur fans and UEFA Champions League enthusiasts around the world have kept their eyes on Harry Kane's recovery. The English striker has missed the last five weeks due to an ankle injury, and today, coach Mauricio Pochettino gave a positive update on his star's recovery.

While the Argentine tactician is still cautious on saying whether Kane will go on the pitch or not from the beginning, he did admit that Kane's recovery process gives him a good chance of playing the crucial match.

"The situation is very positive with him. It's so important that he feels well and he's very positive. We'll see what happens. I cannot say if he'll be 100% fit or starting, or on the bench or out," Pochettino said.

Later, Kane himself gave fans something to look forward too, not shying away from the possibility of playing Saturday's game.

"I've been in full training, doing everything. I'm at a place now where I'm ready to go for any game. The manager will assess it and decide whether I'm ready to go or not, but I feel good and ready. I did a lot of work on my own to get me into a good place to go back with the team and there have been no problems so far," the striker added.

Pochettino also discusses the availability of Harry Winks, Davinson Sánchez and Jan Vertonghen. Luckily for all three players, their boss has confirmed that there are none of them will be ruled out due to injury, which means that they could make the 23-man squad for Saturday's big game.
