The ace suffered a setback in his road to recovery, this time taking a knock to his knee ahead of Wednesday's final.

Chelsea is gearing up for a crucial Europa League final. The London giant will take on Arsenal in a highly-anticipated European showdown this Wednesday in what could be a lovely end to what has been a mainly disappointing season for the Blues.

However, Maurizio Sarri has one huge concern ahead of that Baku showdown. The Italian boss could be without N'Golo Kante in the final against the Gunners.

The French midfielder, regarded as one of the best in his preferred position, was recovering from a calf strain he picked up against Watford in the Premier League. The World Cup winner had all but recovered from that but sadly suffered a setback, as per Goal.

The 28-year-old picked up a knock to his knee and is thus tipped to miss Wednesday's final as a result. His absence would be a huge blow for the Blues in their attempt to end 2018/19 with a trophy.

Chelsea has enjoyed success in Europe before, winning the Champions League and Europa League. However, under Sarri, their performance has not been up to par.

Emery, meanwhile, is known as the Europa League expert, having won it three times in a row with Sevilla. For his Arsenal side, victory in Baku would mean a route to the Champions League and this might just motivate them enough to overcome Hazard and Co.
