Liga MX final broadcast info - second leg

Liga MX - How to watch the second leg of the Clausura 2019 final: León vs Tigres

May 25, 2019 By Oscar Rojas
Tigres collected a narrow lead in the first leg of this tie. Can León put to work their home-field advantage to claim the title?

What has been León and Tigres' form ahead of this game?

León makes it to this clash with two streaks they will want to end. First off, they have lost their last two games with a 1-0 score. It's also the first time in almost seven months in which León has gone two consecutive games without scoring a goal. If they want to win the title, they will need to put an end to both of those streaks.

Tigres gets to this game having won two straight games with the same score: 1-0. The bad news for Ferreti's men come when they realize that both of those wins took place at home. Their two most recent games on the road ended with a 1-1 draw against Pachuca and with a one-nil loss against Monterrey.

What do León and Tigres need to win the Clausura 2019 title?

  • León needs to win by a two-goal margin in order to win the title.

  • Tigres will be crowned as champions if they can win the game or if Sunday's clash ends in a draw.

  • Away goals and the Liga MX regular season standings are not considered as tiebreakers in the Clausura 2019 final.

  • If the game ends with León winning 1-0 after 90 minutes, extra time and penalties will be used to determine the winner.

León vs Tigres UANL - Head to head

  • This will be the fifth playoff matchup between Tigres and León.

  • Tigres has eliminated León in three of their four previous playoff meetings.

  • This will be Tigres' 12th Liga MX final appearance.

  • This will be León's sixth Liga MX final appearance.

  • This will be the 16th time in which the top two teams in Liga MX play for the title. Ten of the previous 15 have concluded with the No.1 team winning the title.

  • Tigres will be looking to win the title for a fifth time when playing away from home. The Tigers managed to do so just 18 months ago, when they defeated Monterrey in the Apertura 2017 final.

  • León has not won a title at home since the 1991-92 season. The team in green lost the final against Cruz Azul in the Invierno '97 tournament, and their back-to-back titles in the Apertura 2013 (vs América) and Clausura 2014 (vs. Pachuca) tournaments saw them play the second leg away from home.

  • The regular season game between these teams ended in a 2-2 draw.
