Transfer - Man United gets cash-plus-player offer for Romelu Lukaku

May 23, 2019 By Oscar Rojas
The Belgian striker has been named as one of the four players surplus' to Solskjaer's requirements.

Manchester United is expected to live a massive overhaul, and the first formal offer has arrived to Ed Woodward's desk for one of the team's footballers.

The Red Devils' boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, named Romelu Lukaku, Matteo Darmian, Marcos Rojo and Juan Mata as players that he could live without. Well, Inter Milan is interested in signing the striker, but their offer includes both cash and a player to boost their options of making the transfer come true.

Coach Antonio Conte, who is ready to take over as the nerazzurri's boss, has asked Inter to make a move for the footballer, who he wanted to work with at Chelsea, but never got a chance to do so. With that in mind, Inter has placed a $63M offer for the player. Added to that, Ivan Perisic could be part of the deal, so Manchester United might get the left winger Solskjaer has been asking to sign.

Perisic has played 118 games for the nerazzurri, scoring 31 in the process.

Lukaku, who is determined to leave the club, hopes this deal can come to fruition, especially since life around Solskjaer has not been good to him. The Belgian striker has played in 15 of the 29 games Soksjaer has coached, and he wants to try his goalscoring shoes in the Italian top flight.

According to The Mirror, Lukaku fears that the fee offered by Inter is not enough for Manchester United execs, but if things go as they are going right now, we could be watching the Belgian's last days as a Red Devil.
