Things may not be as easy as Ernesto Valverde had planned in what will be Barcelona's final game of the season.
The Spanish tactician has been handed a couple of serious boosts ahead of the Copa del Rey final, but he has also been handed a major blow in hopes of keeping the title for a fifth straight season.
Those boosts come as Philippe Coutinho and Arthur have been cleared to play the game, according to a report by Marca. The former Gremio midfielder has the best chance of landing a spot in the starting XI alongside Busquets and Ivan Rakitic, while Coutinho may have to come off the bench in what could be his final match as a Blaugrana player, considering all the speculation regarding his future.
Unfortunately for Valverde, it was not all good news during the final week of training ahead of this game, as Marc-André Ter Stegen was ruled out for the upcoming match due to a knee injury. Valverde was yet to make a decision on who would guard the team's net, since Jasper Cillessen has been in charge of that duty during all but two Copa del Rey games this year. Ter Stegen's injury will surely make Valverde's job a bit easier.
After the UEFA Champions League disappointment, Barcelona will try to finish off their season on a high note. The Blaugrana side will surely be involved in a number of rumors, but Messi and Co. need to focus for 90 minutes -maybe more- to extend their legacy as the winningest club in Copa del Rey history.
