Serie A Matchday 37: TV listings, full fixtures, including Juventus vs Atalanta

May 18, 2019 By Michelle Bonsu
Juventus will look to end their winless run as they take on Atalanta for their last home game of the season. Live Soccer TV provides all the info you need to follow matchday 37 in Serie A, including Juventus vs Atalanta.

Current form: Juventus vs Atalanta

Juventus surprisingly come into this game in bad form - at least by their high standards. Although Massimiliano Allegri's side clinched an eighth Scudetto, they have failed to win their last three games and most recently were on the wrong end of a 2-0 result against Roma.

The Bianconeri will have a new man on the tactician's bench next season after Juve's executive board decided recently to part ways with the Tuscan-born manager after five years of service. Despite winning 11 trophies, including 5 straight Scudetti and guiding Juve to two Champions League finals, the team's performance this season has not left his bosses impressed. First was their shocking 3-0 loss to Atalanta in the Coppa Italia, thus denying them the chance to make it another domestic double, and that was followed by being dumped out of the Champions League by surprise packages Ajax.

With that in mind, Juventus will have to motivate themselves to put on a good show as their upcoming clash against Atalanta will be their last home match of the term. So far, the Bianconeri have yet to lose at Allianz Stadium in Serie A action and they

Meanwhile, Atalanta weren't able to beat Lazio midweek in the Coppa Italia final, and fatigue will be a factor. That being said, La Dea will be keen on securing a top four spot for themselves in the league to gain entry into the Champions League for next season, and Gian Piero Gasperini's side will be very well aware of both Roma and AC Milan lurking just behind, waiting to pounce. The visitors have won their last four games on the spin and will be hoping to become the first team to beat Juventus on home turf in Serie A action this term. Will they spoil La Vecchia Signora's title celebrations?

Talking point: Could Juventus do both Roma and Milan a favor?

Juve's 2-0 loss to Roma has given the Lupi a glimmer of hope at catching and overtaking Atalanta in the battle for fourth place. Should Juventus pick up all three points on home turf on Sunday, La Dea will be firmly rooted on 65 points. Meanwhile, the Giallorossi will travel to face Sassuolo a day earlier, and if all goes as expected against the Neroverdi, Claudio Ranieri's side will pull level with Gasperini's troops, putting pressure on the visiting side from Bergamo ahead of their trip to Turin on Sunday.

Milan, meanwhile, will be in action against already-relegated Frosinone, also on Sunday. The Diavolo, who have won their last two games, will surely be expected to pick up all three points against the struggling Canarini, who have earned just one point from their last five matches. Of course, even if Roma and Milan both win their games and Atalanta manages to grind out a draw in Turin, their efforts will be a moot point.

Hence, yes, both fans of Milan and Roma will be hoping that Juventus gets their act together and beat Atalanta on Sunday.
