The 49-year-old head coach is going nowhere.

Ajax head coach Erik Ten Hag has ruled out a potential move away after being linked to Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Chelsea in recent times. Despite being flattered, the 49-year-old insists that he is happy to continue to the Eredivise outfit.

Ten Hag has been the brain behind Ajax's spectacular season having guided the young squad to a domestic double. An inspiring campaign in the Champions League also saw the Dutch club defeating the likes of Real Madrid and Juventus before securing its first semi final berth European cup competition in 22 years. Nonetheless, a cruel defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in the last four halted what has been deemed as one of modern football's fairytales.

With Ten Hag rising to prominence as a result, a host of top European clubs are said to be after his signature. One of such is Barcelona who was reportedly looking to replace head coach Ernesto Valverde following his side's shock defeat to Liverpool in the Champions League semi final.

While speculations about the Spanish manager's sack has cooled off in recent weeks, Ten Hag has outrightly poured cold water on potentially making a switch to the Camp Nou or any other club for that matter.

"It's an honour to be linked with big clubs like Barcelona, Bayern and Chelsea but I have a contract with Ajax and I am happy here," he told reporters ahead of Ajax's final league game with De Graafschap on Wednesday.

"There are no problems for me.

"I am happy and I'm planning my future here, I am not thinking about leaving".
