The Spanish boss has won two Premier League titles with the Citizens, but he is still looking to win the coveted UEFA Champions League title.

Surprisingly, Pep Guardiola's time at Manchester City could end sooner than expected.

According to former Barcelona footballer Rivaldo, who keeps a close relationship with Pep Guardiola, the Spanish boss could conclude his EPL adventure as soon as this summer, mainly because of personal reasons.

Rivaldo, who played nearly 100 games alongside Guardiola while at Barça, revealed that Guardiola is a bit homesick, which could facilitate a move back to Spain.

"I'm sure he will have new chances to coach in Spain, and I wouldn't rule out that some of those come this summer. He's happy in Manchester, but a good proposal in Spain could be interesting enough for him to return," Rivaldo said.

"He doesn't like to be far away from his friends and family. He enjoys every moment with them, and I believe that feeling of nostalgia will be crucial to determine his decision," the Brazilian stated in an interview with Betfair.com.

Rivaldo described how Guardiola shaped his personality as a coach, and how he kept on talking about how he would become a tactician.

"He was a tool whenever he talked about being a coach. I never thought he would be so good at it. He's a passionate guy, and his relationship with his players is magnificent," the former Ballon D'Or added.

Guardiola has been linked to offers from Juventus in recent weeks, but it doesn't seem likely to watch the Spanish tactician leaving Etihad Stadium anytime soon.

"Hazard is just what Real Madrid needs" - Rivaldo

Rivaldo did not stop his interview without speaking about Real Madrid. The former midfielder shared insight on how Eden Hazard will be a key piece to re-build Real Madrid, and how his experience in the Premier League will come in handy when he starts playing in La Liga.

"He's just what Real Madrid needs. After such a bad season, Real Madrid needs such players to bounce back, but it's even better for Hazard, because he is looking for an even greater challenge, and Real Madrid is a big challenge," Rivaldo said.

The Brazilian legend did not hold back when speaking about the player's skills and how they will help him to thrive in the Spanish top flight.

"His age, his character, and the time he spent in the Premier League will be decisive to see him adapt quickly to Spanish football. All he has to do is show his worth by putting his skills to good use," Rivaldo concluded.
