The Reds are aiming to put in maximum work ahead of the epic European cup final.

Liverpool stars are set to have an intensive two-week 'pre-season' ahead of their Champions League final with Tottenham Hotspur, head coach Jurgen Klopp has confirmed. Prior to the preparatory camp, the Reds have been granted a week off.

The Anfield outfit will go head-to-head in the European cup final with their Premier League rivals at the Wanda Metropolitano on June 1. Having narrowly missed out on the league title to Manchester City, the Merseysiders aim to end another fascinating campaign with their first ever silverware under Jurgen Klopp.

With the final not until three weeks times, the German manager has agreed to allow his players to cool off for a few days before resuming preparations for the ultimate test at Atletico Madrid's Wanda Metropolitano.

"We have to do a couple of things in preparation for the Champions League [final], media stuff," Klopp told Liverpool's official website

"We have to do that, then the boys will have a couple of days off and then we have two proper weeks as a pre-season for the Champions League final.

"We will do that, we will play that, [hopefully] win it, come home and then the people [would] get what they deserve."

Klopp further stressed on the readiness of his squad and hinted at the inclusion of a few youngsters to the group for the final.

"Div [Divock Origi] showed up in a brilliant way, obviously, I'm very happy for him. Ox [Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain] is coming back, Naby [Keita] will then finally be there, Rhian Brewster will come, all the young boys if they want to go for it," he said.

"And the established boys can make next steps as well – imagine Trent [Alexander-Arnold] and Robbo [Andrew Robertson] last year [compared to] this year. They were already good last year but it's another level. Millie [James Milner] is still making steps.

"So it's really cool to work with this group. And we will go again, I'm pretty sure."

Liverpool have been tipped as favorites for this year's Champions League final after completing a Roma-esque remontada against Barcelona in the semi-final. Relatively, Tottenham Hotspur overturned a three-goal deficit Ajax to book its ticket to the European cup final and is expected to potentially usurp its Premier League rivals come June 1.
