The ref has already been in charge of a fixture that featured Liverpool, while this will be his first time officiating a Tottenham game.

The man in charge of making the UEFA Champions League final a fair contest has been revealed. Bosnian ref Damir Skomina has been designated as the man that will see justice being done in the clash between Liverpool and Tottenham.

This will be the first UEFA Champions League final for Skomina. The 42-year-old ref had previously worked on the 2017 UEFA Europa League final that featured Ajax and Manchester United. Furthermore, Skomina was also the man with the whistle in the 2013 UEFA Super Cup between Chelsea and Atlético Madrid.

This will be Skomina's fifth UEFA Champions League game of the season. The ref has not been involved in any of Tottenham's games in the 2018-19 tournament, but he was in charge of seeing justice being done during the match between Liverpool and Napoli from the first stage of the tournament.

Even if the Bosnian ref is quite capable of conducting this clash, he was not away from controversy en route to the UEFA Champions League Final. Skomina was in charge of the second leg clash between PSG and Manchester United, which was solved by a controversial penalty call and following the use of VAR technology.

Be that as it may, let's hope that his involvement in the game gives us one UEFA Champions League final to remember for all the right reasons.
