Los Blancos are on the verge of capturing the signature of the Chelsea No.10.

The day many Chelsea fans dreaded might come sooner than expected with Real Madrid closing in on Eden Hazard's signing.

The Spanish heavyweights have reportedly agreed terms to bring the 28-year-old Belgian attacker to the Bernabeu this summer in a deal worth €100 million euros. According to French publication L'Equipe, the deal was sorted several weeks ago and Real Madrid is set to announce the player's signing after the Europa League Final.

Hazard, who clinched Premier League's Playmaker of the Season award for the most assists on Sunday will hope to guide Chelsea to glory against Arsenal in the European cup final slated for May 29 in Baku. Following the Blues goalless draw with Leicester City in the final league game of the season, the Belgian attacker hinted at his impending departure and highlighted that everything is now in the hands of the club.

The 28-year-old forward proved to be very instrumental for Maurizio Sarri's Chelsea side in a season which some have labeled as mediocre despite the Blues finishing third in the Premier League. He concluded the campaign with 16 goals and 15 assists in 37 appearances.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane is said to be delighted with Hazard's scoop having failed in his attempt to bring the former Lille star to the Bernabeu in 2017.
