Hazard drops hint over Chelsea future

Hazard drops hint over Chelsea future after final EPL game of the season

May 13, 2019 By Ali M.
The Belgian revealed this bombshell after the Blues' goalless draw with Leicester in Matchday 38 of the Premier League.

Eden Hazard continues to be in the headlines, as the issue of his Chelsea future remains a heated topic. And with the Premier League season having ended on Sunday, the attacker dropped a hint as to where he will be playing next season.

The Belgian star is entering the final year of his Stamford Bridge contract. Rumors have heavily linked him with a move to Real Madrid, with the player himself flirting with the idea of leaving for Santiago Bernabeu.

While the London giant would prefer to hold on to the 28-year-old, it looks like they will have to prepare for life without the former Lille sensation. This comes after Hazard admitted that he has made a decision on his future and has informed his Premier League squad.

The attacker dropped this bombshell after his team's 0-0 draw with Leicester. Eden came off the bench in what could be his last Premier League but failed to inspire a win.

“Yes I have made my decision [on his future] but it is not just about me," Hazard said, as per talkSPORT.

“Would I have liked it to be cleared up earlier in the season? Yes, I wanted that but that’s not happened.

“I’m still waiting like you are waiting and the fans are waiting.”

At one point, Sarri's side looked like they would miss out on a top-four finish. Fast forward to the end of the season and Chelsea secured the third spot ahead of Tottenham, earning a ticket to the Champions League. However, Hazard was insisted that these turn of events did not influence his decision.

“No. I don’t think so," he said when asked if it had an effect.

“I have made my decision, that’s it. I’m still waiting.

“When you are on the pitch, you try to be focused on the pitch with the ball. That’s it. When I am on the pitch I just try to do the best. I am not thinking about this and this, my situation or the club’s situation. I just try to win games.”

The Belgian has one more crucial game to play for Chelsea before the summer and that is the Europa League final. The Stamford Bridge side will lock horns with Arsenal for the title in what could be the attacker's parting gift to the Blues.
