Dominated by current and past continental champions, Group E promises some mouth-watering fixtures at the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup.

The climax of an intriguing club football season is on our hands and that simply means that this summer's international competitions are not far away. One such that will gain traction is the FIFA Women's World Cup schedule for June-July and all is almost set to see the planet's biggest stars in women football go head-to-head in a quest for supremacy with their respective countries.

Live Soccer TV takes a look at the strengths of Group E's teams: Canada, Cameroon, New Zealand, and the Netherlands.

Canada

The North American powerhouse will aim to build on failing to "host and win" the 2015 edition of the FIFA Women's World Cup when it travels to France this summer. The two-time CONCACAF Women's Gold Cup champions saw a defeat to England in the quarter-final end their bid to make history on their home soil, four years ago.

Since then, the Canadians have gone ahead to finish as Second Runners-up at the 2016 Olympic Games held in Brazil, while winning silver at the 2018 CONCACAF Women's Championship. The latter secured Kenneth Heiner-Møller's ladies' a ticket to the 2019 Women's World Cup, their seventh in succession since 1995.

With the Hyundai Young Player Award receiver at the FIFA Women's World Cup Canada 2015 Kadeisha Buchanan still in their ranks, Canada will hope the defender's attribute could compliment her teammates' coming up against some of the competition's strong forces in Group E.

Similarly, veteran skipper and all-time top goalscorer Christine Sinclair, as well as the second-highest goalscorer at last year's CONCACAF Women's Championship, Adriana Leon, could prove to be very instrumental in the nation's quest to conquer France.

Cameroon

The Indomitable Lionesses had their first taste of a World Cup outing in Canada, back in 2015. However, they saw their impressive debut halted in the Round of 16 as a result of a 1-0 defeat to China PR.

Cameroon sailed through a relatively easy group at the 2018 Africa Women's Cup of Nations and picked up bronze to seal qualification to this summer's finals but the opposition it faces on the world stage presents tougher challenges. Still, star players Gabrielle Onguene and Christine Manie may complement the efforts of the African side's solid defensive backline and serve up the goals.

The latter particularly played a first-hand role in securing Cameroon a ticket to France 2019 by scoring against Mali in the second minute of injury time in the 2018 AWCON's Third-Place final.

Still, with very little experience at the World Cup, the odds of progressing out of Group E are well stacked against the Indomitable Lionesses.

Netherlands

Just as it happened in the last edition of the Women's World Cup in 2015, the Netherlands and Canada will share the same group in France. With the previous meeting ending in a draw, the Leeuwinnen will fancy their chances this time around coming into the tournament on the back of landing the UEFA European Championship and Algarve Cup in 2017 and 2018 respectively.

A lot has changed among the squad that featured at the FIFA Women's World Cup in Canada four years ago. For starters, the experience accumulated by the team over the years could prove to be the X-factor come June in France.

New Zealand

New Zealand won the hearts of many with the traditional Haka dance routine after a dramatic 2-2 draw with Mexico earned the Oceania nation its first-ever World Cup point at Germany in 2011. Having been eliminated at the group stage of the 2015 finals in Canada, the Football Ferns will attempt to top their 2018 OFC Championship win with an impressive campaign on the global stage, during France 2019.

The test will be daunting as the pedigree of Canada, the Netherlands and Cameroon cannot be taken lightly. All hands will be wanted on deck for Tom Sermanni's ladies and that will mean that the likes of Sarah Gregorius, top scorer at the 2018 OFC Championship with eight goals, as well as Emma Rolston and Rosie White who got six apiece, and Betsy Hassett and Annalie Longo who registered four goals, will be expected to turn up once more.

Who will qualifying from Group E at the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup?

Expectations are now sky-high for Sarina Wiegman's side. They are poised to win Group E or at least qualify as runners up behind fellow tournament favorites, Canada. Now, if history repeats itself, OFC's representatives are in trouble. Just like four years ago when they were also in a group with the Canadians and the Dutch, New Zealand might crash out out whilst the Cameroonians might defend Africa's pride with a spot among the best ranked third-placed teams.
