Manchester City is second on the Premier League with 83 points after 33 matches. Tottenham Hotspur is third with 67 points after the same number of matches.
It will certainly be a revenge mission for Manchester City when Tottenham Hotspur graces the Etihad Stadium in Saturday's early kick-off match. The Citizens come into the encounter on the back of a Champions League elimination suffered in midweek at the hands of the London club.
Pochettino's men have proved to be a thorn in the side of the Manchester club as the first leg win in the European competition's quarter-final tie was the current league holders' first defeat in 18 matches. Bar that result, Manchester City has won all of its last 10 matches in all competitions.
In the Premier League, the Etihad outfit ranks as the team with the best performance at home as they have registered 16 out of 17 wins and one defeat.

While that hints at a daunting task ahead for Tottenham, the Londoners will enter the clash with high belief as their away form has been quite remarkable as well. The White Lilies sit third on the list of teams with the most number of away wins in the Premiership with 11 wins and six defeats.
However, they may be required to put in a shift reminiscent of the one witnessed during last week's win in the Champions League with their form in recent matches coming under scrutiny. In their last 10 matches, Spur have managed just five wins, four defeats, and a draw.
Fernandinho could compete for a place in the starting line up on Saturday after he played as a substitute against Spurs in midweek. The Brazilian recently returned from a muscular problem.
Oleksandr Zinchenko also faces a late fitness test to make the matchday squad. The fullback is yet to fully from a hamstring injury.
For Tottenham, indications suggest that Moussa Sissoko may be out of the trip to Manchester after picking up a groin injury on Wednesday. Eric Dier returned to training on Friday following a hip injury.
However, Serge Aurier, Harry Winks and Harry Kane remain out.
Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur have met 158 times in the past. The former has won 62 of the meetings while the latter has been victorious in 61. There have been 35 draws between them.
The last encounter between the two Premiership clubs took place at the Etihad on Wednesday and Manchester City emerged victorious via a 4-3 scoreline despite crashing out of the Champions League on aggregate.

Pep Guardiola, Manchester City
"I think the game against Spurs will be just as intense as the other day.
"If you believe it doesn't hurt, you're wrong, but we have to live with that. We lost [the tie] but I was so proud. The performance we did was incredible.
"We are going to attack - it won't be easy because they are an incredible top team, but we will try.
"The title race for us is Tottenham at 12.30pm. What Liverpool do at Cardiff I cannot control." Mauricio
Pochettino, Tottenham Hotspur
"We didn't sleep too much [on Wednesday night] but the happiness allows you to feel strong and with energy, and of course now we're thinking about the game on Saturday.
"We don't have time to enjoy and we need to forget the Champions League now and try to be ready for Saturday because it's going to be a battle.
"It is our responsibility all together to try to make sure we are going to be there on Saturday with the capacity to fight and challenge them again."
