The ex-Red Devil believes that a win in Spain is not impossible.

Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes has stated that the Old Trafford outfit is capable of upsetting Barcelona at Camp Nou. The Red Devils will travel to Spain for the second leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final tie following a 1-0 defeat to the Blaugrana at home on Tuesday.

The cruel own-goal by Luke Shaw proved to be the only chink in the armour of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side who managed to keep the likes of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez almost ineffective during the proceeding.

Having completed an epic remontada against Paris Saint-Germain in the Round of 16 stage of the European competition, Scholes believes that his former side can get the better of Barca despite the Blaugrana's goal advantage.

Speaking on BT Sport after Manchester United secured a 2-1 win over West Ham on Saturday, he said: "I don't think it's the best Barcelona team we've seen for so many years.

"United went to PSG and did a great job and I think they're possibly a better team than Barcelona."

The trip to Camp Nou will bring a nostalgic feeling among some members of the Red Devils' fanbase as it was the venue Sir Alex Ferguson led the club to a historic Champions League final win over Bayern Munich in 1999.

While the Red Devils may not be endowed with the stars the side possessed some 20 years ago, the English outfit's chances are boosted by the return of some key players who were amiss in the first leg defeat at Old Trafford.
