The Red Devils man will be out of contract soon and could leave the club for nothing.

With Man United and its fans already worried for their upcoming clash with Barcelona, one midfielder added to that list of concerns ahead of the game. That man is none other than Ander Herrera.

The Spaniard has been a crucial player for the club this season and in the team's resurgence under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Many argue that the former Athletic Bilbao man should be named the Red Devils Player of the Season but his future at the club is sadly under huge doubt.

The 29-year-old's contract is set to expire this summer, meaning he will be a free agent in a few months. While Man United is working hard to negotiate an extension, no agreement has been agreed upon and he has thus been linked with a move away from the Theatre of Dreams.

Herrera, who looks set to miss the home clash with the Blaugrana due to injury, admitted that he is nowhere near reaching a breakthrough with his Premier League employers. It has been reported that the Spaniard prefers to remain in Manchester but wishes to nearly double his current wages.

This appears to be the point of disagreement with the club, something which Ander hinted to in a recent interview. Speaking to ABC, he said:

"I want to beat Barcelona and think about football.

"It is true that I have only two months of contract and today Manchester United and I do not think the same and there is no renewal agreement, but my duty is to continue listening to United.

"What I have clear is that I'm going to continue playing in a big team.

"I take care of it, I look good and I want to squeeze football as long as my body allows because the day after I retire I will start to regret having retired.

"I will listen to United, of course, but also to other clubs. I do not close doors."

PSG has been linked with a move for Herrera, with the French giant short on numbers in the midfield department. Les Parisiens could offer him a substantial raise should they sign him for free, with Arsenal also being tipped to make a move.

Herrera, should he not join the squad for Wednesday's tie late, will be in the stands to watch Solskjaer's crew host Messi and Co. A spot in the semi-finals is at stake and while the odds don't seem to favor Man United, they will hope to pull off another miracle after eliminating PSG in the previous round.
