The Red Devils will look to spend big this summer to fully usher in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's managerial stint.

Manchester United is reportedly readying a warchest for new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ahead of a massive squad overhaul this summer. An amount of 200 million pounds has been quoted as what the Red Devils seek to pump into the recruitment of new players in the upcoming transfer window.

The arrival of Solskjaer has brought revival to the Old Trafford outfit whose chance of securing a top-four finish in the Premier League was almost non existence under Jose Mourinho earlier this season. However, the fairytale start under the Norwegian manager has seemingly been exhausted with the Red Devils recording three defeats in their last four appearances across all competitions.

While this is partially due to injury to some of its key players, a host of the available personnel have failed to deliver the goods, hence prompting the need for the club to strengthen some areas in the team.

According to UK publication Evening Standard, Manchester United's chief executive Ed Woodward is reportedly impressed with Solskjaer's performance so far and aims to back him in recruitment with an amount in the excess of 200 million pounds - the biggest-ever spent by the club in a single transfer window.

Relatively, a portion of the said figure will be used in the possible signing of Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly as the Old Trafford outfit seeks to bring in an established defender as an immediate fix for its frailties at the back. The club is also said to be keen on the signing of Real Madrid's Raphael Varane should the Frenchman become available.

In addition, Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho, Lyon's Ndombele Tanguy as well as Portuguese pair Joao Felix and Bruno Fernandes of Benfica and Sporting respectively, have also been heavily linked with moves to the English outfit in recent times.
