The Armenian playmaker will be released at the end of the season to make way for four direct requests by Unai Emery.

Arsenal's transfer business during the winter transfer window was limited due to their low budget. In order to avoid that, coach Unai Emery is ready to offload up to eight players in order to have money to boost his squad.

As reported by the Mirror earlier today, Emery has named a five-man shortlist that should bring in some cash to spend in the next transfer season, which is led by German footballer Mesut Özil and Armenian playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Added to those names, Emery has included Mohamed Elneny, Calum Chambers and Shkodran Mustafi as the players he wants Arsenal's hierarchy to negotiate, in order to sign four players to boost the Gunners' roster.

Arsenal will also see three other players leaving the club, as Aaron Ramsey is set to join Juventus, goalkeeper Petr Cech has announced his retirement and Danny Welbeck will be released due to the termination of his contract.

According to the report, Emery wants to sign players that fit the following spots: a left back, a left winger, a center back and a central midfielder.

While the team could end up getting more money to spend if they make it to the top four in the English Premier League or if they make it to the UEFA Champions League via a UEFA Europa League title, the aforementioned transfers will be crucial to shape up his 2019-20 team. Let's wait and see what kind of deals the Gunners can strike in the upcoming offseason.
