The German outfit has cautioned the Premier League outfit with speculations about their player's future growing.

Manchester United have supposedly been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho. Apparently, the Bundesliga club revealed that it has no intentions of selling its top performers this summer.

At age 18, Sancho has risen to prominence in recent years and a stellar performance for Dortmund this season has made him one of the most sought after talents in the world at the moment. However, as per claims in German media as quoted by Mirror, the Signal Iduna outfit aims to keep the teenager in the side for at least one more season.

The information was backed by the statement of Der BVB's managing director Hans-Joachim Watzke who remains hopeful of his side becoming more formidable next season.

"I am very optimistic that we will have an even stronger team in the next year in terms of our quality today," Watzke stated.

"This applies regardless of possible new signings."

Borussia Dortmund has already lost American sensation Christian Pulisic to Chelsea after the Germans accepted a 57.6-million-pound offer ahead of a summer move. At the moment, Sancho has earned the trust of his manager Lucien Favre after becoming a like-for-like replacement for the departing Pulisic.

At the moment, the 18-year-old attacker has scored nine goals and has assisted 15 for the men in yellow and black across all competitions this season. With his current contract running until 2022, Dortmund is hoping to keep Sancho at the Signal Iduna and may only give in to his sale should an astronomical offer arrive.

Relatively, BVB is working on contract extensions for Mario Gotze, Raphael Guerreiro and Jacob Bruun Larsen at the moment.
