12 teams have been confirmed for the upcoming summer pre-season tournament, with games set to be played in the USA, Asia, and Europe.

The International Champions Cup may not have kicked off but the participants and fixtures have been confirmed for the 2019 edition. The event organizers revealed all on Wednesday, March 27, announcing the 12 teams that will participate this time around.

The guests' list is a who's who of European giants, with Mexican heavyweight Chivas being the only represent outside of that continent. They will be joined by Real Madrid, AC Milan, Arsenal, Roma, Atletico, Benfica, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Juventus, Manchester United, and Tottenham.

As usual, the games in this pre-season summer tournament will be held across three continents -- USA, Europe, and Asia. The Men's ICC 2019 tournament starts on July 16 and ends on August 10. Of the four games hosted in Asia, two will be in Singapore, one will be in Shanghai, while the other has not been decided.

Stockholm, London, and Cardiff will be the host cities for Europe's International Champions Cup ties. However, the tournament will kick off in Chicago with a clash between Roma and Chivas.

Key games

Real Madrid vs Atletico on Friday, July 26: This will be the first Madrid Derby to take place outside of Europe, making the spectacular MetLife Stadium a befitting venue for this game. Los Blancos could have a few Galacticos by then and could debut them against their city rival.

Juventus v Inter on Wednesday, July 24: Given that Icardi is being linked with a move to Juventus, this could be an explosive encounter for Chinese locals to witness. Cristiano Ronaldo could feature this time around, having missed last summer's edition of the ICC due to his World Cup participation.

Atletico Madrid vs Juventus on Saturday, August 10: This is not exactly the UEFA Champions League but it's still a date between two clubs that faced each other in the Last 16 of the 2018/19 UCL. Collapsing against a Ronaldo hat-trick in Turin wasn't in the plans of Diego Simeone's men who had left La Vecchia Signora toothless at the Wanda Metropolitano. Watch out for Atleti's desire for revenge in Stockholm, Sweden.
