Signing the French midfielder will not come easy for either Los Blancos or Juventus, according to reports from Italy and Spain.

If Real Madrid wants to have Paul Pogba around, the hefty price tag on a potential deal will not be the only hurdle to overcome.

Added to the massive buyout clause included in his contract at Manchester United, Real Madrid will have to negotiate a massive wage to have the 2018 World Cup champion joining them in the near future. According to a report by newspapers Marca and Tuttosport, agent Mino Raiola has named Pogba's wage demands, which would make him the best-paid player in Real Madrid's payroll.

Pogba's wage at Manchester United goes up to €10M (around $11.2M), but in order for his client to join Real Madrid, Raiola wants Los Blancos to hand him a €16M yearly wage (some $18M).

In terms of Real Madrid's current roster, Pogba's wage would top the amount earned by both Gareth Bale and Sergio Ramos. Bale earns €14M with the Spanish giants (some $15M), while Ramos' yearly wage stands at €11M (around $12.3M).

Pogba stated last week that he is quite happy at Manchester United, but he also said that playing for Real Madrid woud be a dream come true for any football player. The astronomical amount requested by his agent may see Los Blancos' interest fade away, but one things' for sure: Florentino Pérez can find a way to make this deal work.
