In our match preview informing you where/how to watch the international friendly encounter between USA and Chile, we compare current form, team statistics, and analyze both teams’ head-to-head record.

What is the form of USA as compared to Chile's?

The USA men's national team approaches the upcoming test with Chile on the back of a 1-0 win over Ecuador. The victory added to the Stars and Stripes' back to back wins over Costa Rica and Panama which ensued after a 1-0 loss to 2006 World Cup winners Italy.

Over the course of the last 10 matches, Gregg Berhalter's men have performed slightly above average, registering four wins, two draws, and four defeats.

The opponent they face on Tuesday, on the other hand, has been a shadow of the side that has won the last two Copa America titles. Having failed to qualify for last summer's FIFA World Cup, Chile enters the upcoming clash with USA with three defeats in its last five outings.

Also, the current South American champions have recorded just three wins across all competitions in their last 10 outings. Four of the remaining seven matches have resulted in defeats while three have ended in draws.

Team News: Who is available, injured or suspended for USA vs Chile?

The USMT has confirmed that Weston McKennie will be unavailable for the upcoming fixture. The midfielder has returned to his club Schalke 04 to continue his recovery after injuring in the win over Ecuador.

Also, Tyler Adams will be amiss after he was also allowed to depart for his club side, RB Leipzig.

For Chile, a few rotations are expected to be made. Following a poor performance in the 3-1 defeat to Mexico in the previous encounter, goalkeeper Gabriel Arias is expected to be replaced with Brayan Cortes.

What is the head-to-head record of USA vs Chile?

USA and Chile have met 10 times both teams met at the 1950 World Cup in Brazil. The USMNT has dominated the match-ups with three wins, five draws, and two defeats.

In their last encounter, Chile won by three goals to two at in Rancagua in January 2015.
