March 23, 2019 By Ali M.
In our match analysis informing you how to watch Portugal's clash with Serbia, we compare team statistics and analyze both teams’their head-to-head record.

What is the form of Portugal compared to Serbia?

Portugal's last outing ended in a disappointing 0-0 draw and that means they have drawn in four of their last seven games. The remaining three ended in victories, as they are yet to lose once since their 2018 World Cup exit at the hands of Uruguay.

As for Serbia, they too are undefeated since bowing out of Russia 2018. They have also played seven times since the summer tounrament and have won four of those games, drawing the other three.

Portugal vs Serbia head-to-head record

This will be only the fifth encounter between these two European outfits. A Seleção das Quinas have beaten the Eagles in their last two encounters, the most recent coming back in October 2015.

Games played: 4

Portugal wins: 2

Serbia wins: 0

Key talking point - Can Cristiano and Co. bounce back from that goalless draw?

This is not Portugal's opening Euro 2020 qualifier -- that was against Ukraine on Friday. That game, however, ended in a disappointing 0-0 draw, with Cristiano failing to score in his return to the national side.

While Fernando Santos predicted a response from his men in their next game, they should expect a tougher opponent in the form of Serbia. Ronaldo will, once again, be the key man for the European Championship holder.

Mladen Krstajic's stars to tear apart the reigning European champion?

This will be Serbia's opening game in the road to Euro 2020. After holding Germany to a 1-1 draw, the Eagles should have the confidence to take on Portugal. Nemanja Matic and Aleksandar Mitrovic, both of which did not feature in that friendly, are expected to return to a squad that already boasts the likes of Luka Jovic, Dusan Tadic, and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. The talent is there to take down Cristiano and Co. but can they pull it off?
