The Portuguese striker is fully focused on playing the Round of 16 clash against Atlético, who he used to terrorize with Los Blancos.

With Zinedine Zidane's comeback to Real Madrid, some of Los Blancos' fans started to wonder if Cristiano Ronaldo would be interested in returning to the Spanish side. Unfortunately for them, the footballer squashed that possibility during an interview with DAZN.

In the interview, Cristiano Ronaldo seemed to forget about his final days with Real Madrid, as he finally had some kind words for what he lived with the Spanish giants. Nevertheless, the thought of returning to any of the countries where he has played before, including Spain, has not crossed his mind.

"I don't miss Spain or Portugal. Things are as they are. Obviously, I left behind a lot of friends, I left a big club who gave me a lot of love, fans, friends. However, I don't miss the country because I have the same things her (in Italy)," Cristiano stated.

Zidane's reply about a possible attempt to sign Cristiano left no doubt about how the French manager wants to build his team, and Ronaldo's statements about being happy in the Italian top flight seem to confirm that notion.

"I'm happy to be in Italy and such a competitive league. My experience has been very good so far. I feel good about myself. I feel suited to the Italian league, and it's a difficult league to play in. In my opinion, it's the hardest for attackers. It's a league with a lot of quality, I didn't expect the Italian league to have so much quality," the player added.

Speaking about Tuesday's UCL match against Atlético, Cristiano Ronaldo admitted that Los Colchoneros' lead will be hard to overcome, mainly due to their top defensive skills. Still, the footballer believes that Juve will give the Spanish side a hard time.

"Atlético is a tough team. They have played two UEFA Champions League finals in the last four years, they have all the credentials to be considered as UCL contenders. We know it will be tough, but if we at Juventus go out there to do what we do, then we'll get to the next round," CR7 concluded.

The game is set to take place on Tuesday evening at Juventus' stadium. Keep track of the game with our detailed guides in English and Spanish or by following our match link below.
