The Argentine manager is wary of other star names in the Bianconeri set-up ahead of the Tuesday's clash.

Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has warned his players that Juventus is not only about Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of their Champions League Round of 16 second-leg tie. The Argentine coach marches to Tuesday's clash in Turin with an advantage following his side's 2-0 victory at Wanda Metropolitano in the first leg.

A goal apiece by center back pair Jose Gimenez and Diego Godin placed Los Rojiblancos on the brink of qualification to the Last 8 stage. However, despite earning the tag as favorites to progress, Simeone has advised his men against complacency.

Addressing the press ahead of Tuesday's test, the 48-year-old highlighted the quality in the Juventus squad and talked down the notion that Cristiano Ronaldo poses all the threat in the side.

The Portuguese failed to get on the scoresheet at Wanda Metropolitano with the Bianconeri having previously scored more than 20 times against Atletico during his time in La Liga. Momentarily, the 34-year-old ex-Real Madrid star has scored 21 goals in 35 appearances across all competitions.

"You can't just talk about Ronaldo, Juventus are a great team with top players who are used to fighting important battles and are very strong in defense," Simeone said in response to his side's chances of qualification.

"These are two different matches, the first leg and second leg. We'll have to seize all the opportunities and do our best, we'll have less space than in the first leg.

"These are two strong teams, one will go through and the other won't. It's hard to talk about there being favorites."

Diego Simeone subsequently declared central defender Diego Godin fit to play despite initial concerns.

"Godin is fine, he'll train today and I expect him to play tomorrow. I'll make do with what I have at my disposal."
