The Special One spoke about his former team in one of his appearances as a pundit for beIN Sports. Is this a sign of things to come?

Mourinho has spoken loud and clear: he would return to Real Madrid with his eyes closed.

Speaking about the subject on beIN Sports, former Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho admitted that his desire to make a shocking comeback to La Liga with the Spanish giants would be fueled by the interest and support that fans have shown him in recent days.

"Would I have a problem in returning to a club where I have coached before? I'd have no problem to work for a team with the right ambitions and the right structure. It's a source of pride for me when a club in which you've worked before wants you back. But as of now, it has only happened once for me, at Chelsea, not at Real Madrid," Mourinho stated.

The Portuguese boss did not hold back when it came to praise Los Blancos.

"They are the most iconic club, the best in the world. Added to that, they have a patch with 13 Champions League titles," Mourinho added.

Mourinho hinted that a return to the Bernabeu would be similar to the one he staged back in 2010 for a number of reasons.

"When I joined Madrid, the main goal was to stop Barcelona's dominance. Real Madrid was not able to win anything. They were not able to get past the quarter final stage in the Champions League. You have to establish your goals. For a coach, to do the full season's work and win the league is amazing, but a coach or a player that can't win the Champions is not a good coach or player," Mourinho said.

Mourinho has been linked with a return to the Spanish capital for the better part of 2019, but rumors about a possible comeback have intensified since last Saturday, when Los Blancos lost their second match against Barcelona in three days. He may not have enjoyed his last months at Manchester United, but maybe we will see him fight for redemption at the Bernabeu in the next few months.
