The Catalan boss referred to a slow first half of his team that could have changed the entire course of the tie.

Barcelona ,may have beaten Real Madrid with a 3-0 score, but their coach was not as satisfied as one could imagine.

Speaking in the post-match presser, coach Ernesto Valverde analyzed his team's victory against Los Blancos, hinting that the hosts could have won the game if they had been a bit more accurate in front of goal.

"They were better than us during the first 45 minutes, we lacked an offensive desire during that half. We were unable to get a grip on the ball, we lost the ball in certain regions of the pitch and it could have cost us dearly. It was not one of our best games, I have to admit it," Valverde said.

Valverde underlined a crucial fact that helped Barcelona reach a sixth straight Copa del Rey final.

"They had the best chances, but we were more determined during the second half. We had to do so because if the game ended in a goalless draw, we would have been eliminated. This time, we scored three times with just a few attempts, but there have been days were we've had over 25 shots on goal and we were not able to score once.

The former Athletic coach ruled out any intention of kicking back to relax during Saturday's clash between these teams.

"Saturday's game is as relevant as before, and we have to improve to win again. La Liga is a title that everyone wants to win," Valverde concluded.
